About

Leafy Endeavors was officially launched in 2022 by Sarah Ferren-Cirino—a super plant nerd. Sarah had been trying to find the best niche of how to run a passion driven business while balancing already being a multi-small business owner and mom of two young boys—crazy. But creating a business that could potentially help enhance the Sacramento community’s appreciation for their outdoor spaces and also enrich the local ecology was too tempting not to pursue.

Sarah felt that the traditional landscape design and retail industry needed a more accessible and personal resource for individuals looking to add *Plants with Benifits to their lives. To eliminate the pitfalls of over choice in the big box or even nursery centers and enable a focus on what matters in our yards. A personal relationship and understanding of what we are planting and why. A combination of curation and education on a personal level. And to make a yard transformation more hands on, cost effective, practical and more successful than the traditional design process. Sarah wants you to know that plants and gardens are DYNAMIC. They evolve just like us and can’t be forced. Let Leafy Endeavors be your resource for the evolution of your “plantable” outdoor and indoor spaces.

Sarah has a bachelors degree from UC Davis in Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry with a focus in Biodiversity and Restoration and a minor in Art Studio. She has over 10 years of professional experience as a landscape restoration program manager and arborist for the utility industry. Sarah also has years of experience in private gardening, floral design and house plant management. Making Leafy Endeavors the perfect platform for bringing these skills and experience into YOUR life.
